Job Description Job Description Salary: Job Title: Temporary Medical Billing & Coding Specialist Department: Finance Employment Type: Temporary / Contract Position Summary: Temporary Personnel will support the Finance Department by providing medical billing and coding, bookkeeping, data entry, and customer service functions. Personnel will perform all duties within their scope of authority and training, and in full compliance with facility policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Review charges prior to initial claim submission to ensure accuracy and completeness; make necessary minor or major corrections. Review medical claim denials and rejections to identify coding or billing errors; correct and resubmit claims as appropriate.
