Job Summary The Inpatient Coding Auditor will audit inpatient coders and offshore auditors to ensure coding accuracy standards are met. The position requires frequent communication with client teams and payers, and reports to the Huron Managed Services Domestic Coding team. Key Responsibilities Perform audits of inpatient coding to maintain a minimum accuracy of 95% for DRG and coding. Conduct quality checks and calibration audits on visits coded per client SOPs. Suggest process improvements and schedule calibration sessions with offshore team counterparts and leaders. Prepare audit reports, provide direct feedback to coders and auditors, and participate in client interactions and internal stakeholder meetings. Monitor compliance with coding guidelines and correct identified errors before claims are rebilled to insurance. Analyze audit findings and present clear, concise summaries to leadership.
