Job Description General Purpose of Job :   Advanced coding position that requires review of medical record documentation and accurately assigns ICD-10-CM, ICD-10 PCS, as well as assignment of the Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Group, (MS-DRG) / All Patient Refined - Diagnosis Related Group, (APR-DRG) based on payor classification and abstracts specific data elements for each case in compliance with federal regulations. This position codes all types of inpatient records and follows the Official Guidelines of Coding and Reporting, the American Health Information Management Association, (AHIMA) Coding Ethics, as well as all American Hospital Association, (AHA) Coding Clinics, CMS directives and bulletins, Fiscal intermediary communications. Currently accepting Extern resumes for the position of coder/medical biller.  This position will perform the following functions: Review and verify chart coding and documentation Submission of claims. Posting remits Working denials and appeals Ability to discuss accounts with patients due to insurance denials. Ability to perform coding/billing research as necessary. Strong team player Software used is ECW and prior knowledge is a plus. Job is onsite in Huntsville, Al. - No Remote work. Candidate will be mentored and trained by established Coder/Billing Manager at the practice.  

Our physical therapy office is located in Brewster, NY in Putnam county, NY within the close proximity to I-684 & I-84 & Danbury, Ct. Our part time office position is in the billing dept. The positions would include assisting the billing dept with patient payment posting, patient tracking amongst other daily billing office tasks. The position would additionally entail inquiry filing for unpaid claims, follow up with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or denials, assisting with patient statements, faxing information as required, u tilizing Excel data entry skills to maintain accurate records Newly certified or intermediate level CPC-A or CPC or CPB are welcome to apply via the Xtern Program.  Looking for a person that is passionate about problem-solving, has attention to detail.
