Position Summary:Oversees the billing and accounts receivable function for all charges for designated financial classes. Oversees the production of claims and appeals. Processes all correspondence received from insurers, including appeals for additional reimbursement, posting payments, and follow–ups on receivables.
Required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare industry.
Required:Three to five years of experience in the Healthcare industry, with at least two years of responsibility for third?party accounts receivable. Two to three years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership to staff. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of third?party regulatory guidelines, CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding and modifier assignment as it applies to billing and collections. Experience with third?party electronic and paper remittance process. Demonstrated proficiency in use of PCs to include ability to perform spreadsheet and word processing applications. Proven analytical, research and evaluation skills required to make recommendations and implement operational improvement strategies as part of a cohesive team.
