Direct Hire

$60,000-$65,000 annually

Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Collector to support billing, collections, and account management within a skilled nursing facility environment. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone comfortable working closely with residents and families while maintaining accurate and compliant accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with residents and families to review coverage, explain balances, and communicate financial responsibility in a professional and empathetic manner

Manage private-pay collections and document all follow-up activity on delinquent accounts to maintain accurate accounts receivable aging

Bill and post monthly charges by pay source in accordance with established timelines, including Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, MyCare Buckeye, commercial insurance, and Workers' Compensation

Post payments and reconcile resident accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close processes

Maintain resident trust accounts and ledgers in compliance with state and federal regulations

Safeguard resident funds in accordance with internal controls and established procedures

Support additional business office functions as needed

Required Qualifications

Must have skilled nursing facility (SNF) medical billing and/or collections experience

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on medical billing and collections experience

Experience with private-pay collections and follow-up on delinquent accounts

Knowledge of dunning letters, liens, estates, and sensitive account resolution

Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with professionalism and empathy

Preferred

Experience working with multiple payers including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans

Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare revenue cycle environments

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
