Responsibilities
Ensure accurate coding to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials by meeting all proper coding guidelines.
Required Qualifications
2 years coding knowledge (CPT/ICD9/HCPCS), medical terminology and data entry work experience.
Excellent problem resolution experience.
Experience in ambulatory or acute care professional coding (CPT, ICD-9, HCPC).
Experience with chart auditing.
PC/CRT experience.
Experience in an Ambulatory Medical Office or Acute Care Facility.
Preferred Qualifications
Upon hire: AAPC or AHIMA coding-related credential
IDX experience.
Allscripts or ECW experience.
Ability to comprehend CRT screens and proficiency with MS Office software.
