Job Summary
Provides quality instruction in Medical Billing and Coding, following departmental policies and regulations.
Location
Primary location: Kennesaw campus, 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Additional access to Marietta campus at 1100 South Marietta Parkway.
Responsibilities
Provides quality instruction on course curriculum and learning strategies.
Conducts teaching using educational equipment and learning aids.
Provides feedback and assessments to ensure mastery of learning outcomes.
Assesses and records grading for assignments, quizzes, and tests.
Completes paperwork related to classroom management.
Participates in marketing courses during biannual Open House events.
Assists in course and program evaluation and continuous improvement.
Maintains program quality and satisfaction scores.
Informs Program Manager of issues related to curriculum or conduct.
Records attendance in the learning management system.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Certification: Certified Professional Coder with instructor distinction through AAPC.
Experience: Five years as a Certified Professional Coder.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Motivates students to participate actively.
Reviews syllabus and learning outcomes on first class night.
Provides sufficient time for course evaluations.
Responds promptly to student inquiries.
Familiar with emergency procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and time‑management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Strong attention to detail, follow‑up, customer service, and phone/email etiquette.
