Practice Supervisor
Unity Health Network, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is a physician network in Northeast Ohio that offers primary and specialty care services. We are seeking a Practice Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day operations of our health center.
The Practice Supervisor leads day‑to‑day operations of the health center, partnering with providers and regional leadership to deliver a high‑quality, efficient patient experience. This role oversees staffing, scheduling, service standards, and compliance. Practice Supervisor will perform Medical Assistant (MA) duties as needed to support patient flow.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations & patient experience: Lead daily clinic operations; ensure excellent customer service and patient satisfaction; address complaints and service recovery
Scheduling & throughput: Coordinate provider schedules and patient appointments; monitor access and adjust templates/coverage as needed
People leadership: Recruit, coach, counsel, and develop teammates; ensure reliable attendance and professional standards
Compliance & quality: Ensure adherence to HIPAA and company policies; support implementation of best practices and applicable federal/state/local regulations
Facility & growth: Maintain a safe, professional environment; monitor space needs; plan/coordinate expansion or enhancement projects as required
Provider partnership: Partner with Medical Director and regional team to support provider satisfaction and resolve operational barriers
Community & collaboration: Enhance center visibility through community involvement; participate in committees as needed
Billing oversight: Ensure billing policies and procedures are followed
Clinical support (MA duties as needed): Perform clinical intake (vitals/history), room/prepare patients, assist with transfers/specimen collection, support minor in‑office procedures, perform point‑of‑care testing, clean/turn over exam rooms and equipment per infection‑control standards, maintain clinical supplies/equipment, and ensure proper storage/disposal of biohazards
Other: Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Medical Assistant National Certification
CPR and/or BLS certification (or ability to obtain per policy)
1+ years of leadership/people management experience
1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a primary care or ambulatory setting
3+ years of experience in a management capacity and/or health center operations
Experience in managed care and/or medical group operations
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Hands‑on clinical/back office skills (e.g., vitals, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, medication administration), and/or front office support (e.g., scheduling, prior authorizations, refills, referrals)
Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution. The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full‑time employment.
