Clients receive medical and emotional support during a pivotal recovery stage, with services including individual case management and group treatment services to assist clients in accessing step-down levels of care. The Recovery Specialist role offers an opportunity to positively impact those struggling with addiction. Essential responsibilities include ensuring the safety and structure of the program milieu, monitoring client activities, conducting 30-minute client well-being checks, and performing telephone admission screenings. Additionally, the specialist searches client belongings on admission and at discharge, completes necessary checklists, shift documentation, and record keeping in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), experience working with substance use populations is preferred, and a valid driver’s license in good standing is preferred. Candidates must be separated from any BILH affiliated facilities for six months prior to being considered. Certifications include BLS. Guaranteed hours are provided for 91 contract weeks.
