Position Overview Full-time role in a fast-paced professional central billing environment. Remote position. Employment Details Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Key Responsibilities Review all assigned charge review errors and claim edits, ensuring correct charge capture and coding with proper ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and modifiers, adhering to local ministry and Trinity practices and policies. Analyze medical documentation to verify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures; assign diagnostic codes, procedural codes, and modifiers using CMS guidelines. Perform data entry to capture charges not submitted by provider and resolve discrepancies. Serve as a liaison between Centralized Coding/Revenue Site Operations and clinical sites/departments. Assist in orienting and training new employees in the coding and charge capture area as well as cross‑training established coders in new specialties. Review encounter forms or EHR for completion and accuracy, including ICD-10, ICD‑9CM, CPT and HCPCS modifier assignment. Understand NextGen EHR for charge passing position, review chart for missing items, and use tasking for missing information. Research all information needed to complete billing process. Read and understand operative reports and other medical records, assign codes from review of these records procedures from notes. Perform accurate data entry from encounter form. Perform claim correction process and properly submit per payer request. Follow daily, weekly & monthly audit reports – charge review, edits, missing charges. Resolve coding discrepancies related to coding and revenue capture. Minimum Qualifications CPC, CPC‑A, CCS, or CCS‑P Certified. One to three years of experience in a medical office coding setting.
