Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Surgery Coder role located in Glen Rock, NJ. The Surgery Coder will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses for surgical cases, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with relevant coding standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing patient medical records, assigning appropriate codes, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate health information management protocols to facilitate billing and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Experience and proficiency in Medical Coding and Coding Practices
Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management
Certification such as RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or equivalent
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Familiarity with electronic health records and coding software
Proven ability to stay up-to-date with current coding standards and guidelines
