About the Role The Coding Specialist is a functional member of Revenue Cycle at PacMed. The Specialist is an entry‑level coding professional responsible for the timely, accurate, and comprehensive review of provider claims to optimize reimbursement and ensure compliance with all regulatory statutes. This position also works with the department to identify trends and educational opportunities for providers to ensure proper coding, documentation, and accuracy of billing within their areas of responsibility/specialty. Required Qualifications National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders. National Certification from American Health Information Management Association. 1 year coding related experience. Preferred Qualifications Accredited program for Medical Coding. 2 years ICD-10-CM and CPT coding experience performing clinic and hospital-based inpatient and outpatient coding for professional billing. Pay Pay Range: $29.62 - $45.31 per hour. Additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
