Location: 100% Remote Eligible States: Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, New Mexico Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Duration: Temp to Perm Compensation: $28–$35hr W2 About the Role Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking Medical Coders across multiple specialties to support physician (profee) coding operations in a fully remote capacity. We are hiring for a variety of specialties including: Cardiology Orthopedics Endocrinology Podiatry Evaluation & Management (E/M) Multispecialty This role is focused on high-volume production coding and requires strong expertise in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and coding accuracy. What You’ll Do Perform physician (profee) coding across assigned specialty or multispecialty areas Code high-volume charts while maintaining 95%+ accuracy Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation Apply E/M leveling where applicable Review documentation and ensure coding compliance Resolve coding edits and support clean claim submission Collaborate with providers, HIM, and internal teams Must-Have Requirements 2+ years of recent medical coding experience Profee (physician) coding experience required Strong knowledge of: CPT ICD-10-CM HCPCS Experience working in a production environment (high-volume coding) Ability to maintain 95%+ accuracy Experience with EMR systems (EPIC strongly preferred) Must reside in: TX, LA, AR, GA, or NM Certification required (CPC or equivalent) – must provide verification Preferred Qualifications Specialty coding experience (Cardio, Ortho, Endo, etc.) E/M coding experience Experience with high-dollar or complex accounts EPIC + 3M encoder experience IMPORTANT – This Role is NOT a Fit If: Your experience is primarily: HCC / Risk Adjustment CDI / Documentation Review Billing or Collections You are not actively coding full charts daily Interested?
