Medical Records Coding Specialist
Responsible for duties relating to the coding and assignment of diagnoses and procedures, and abstracting of medical records.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
- Certified Coding Associate (CCA) by AHIMA preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by AAPC preferred.
Previous Experience:
- Computers and other office equipment.
- Keyboarding/computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous experience working in medical records and/or a physician’s clinic preferred.
