Job Description

What You Will Do Accurately transform medical diagnoses and procedures into designated alphanumerical codes in ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes. Ensure that the daily coding volumes for the team are turned around accurately within the specified Turnaround Time. Check input volumes allotted by the Team Lead. Create coding reports as per client and coding guidelines while maintaining operational quality and productivity. Maintain regular interaction with the Team Lead and respond to feedback. Work well independently and in a collaborative manner with the entire coding team. Understand in detail the workflow, procedures, and specific criteria for the assigned client. Meet the monthly target with above 95% accuracy consistently. Attend weekly QA/team meetings without fail and engage in two‑way communication with the Quality Analyst/Team Lead. What You Will Need Life Science or Paramedical graduate or postgraduate. Minimum experience: 1–2 years. Strong ability to interpret medical records across various specialties. Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, CCS). Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, and organizational skills. Ability to work with speed and accuracy. Good analytic skills and proficiency in accurately coding medical records using ICD-10‑CM and CPT conventions, especially for emergency room coding, E/M & ED Facility work types. What Would Be Nice to Have Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of coding software such as 3M, Encoder Pro.
