Review clinical documentation for lower acuity inpatients as appropriate to extract data and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance. Ability to determine principal diagnosis, secondary diagnoses, comorbidities, complications, and surgical procedures. Assign Present on Admission indicators as well as identify Hospital Acquired Conditions. Analyze documentation and abstract pertinent data. Must maintain minimum quality and productivity standards.
