As the organization continues to expand and open new clinics, they are seeking experienced revenue cycle professionals to support their growing operations.
Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Coder / Medical Billing Specialist to join their team in Oklahoma City. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the revenue cycle by ensuring accurate coding, documentation review, and coordination with the billing team. The role will work closely with internal teams as well as a third‑party billing partner to ensure claims are properly coded and submitted across multiple entities. This is an onsite position supporting a newly opened clinic and requires someone who can work independently and bring strong coding and billing experience.
Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation to ensure accurate assignment of ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
Perform coding for wound care procedures and related services
Ensure documentation supports billed services and meets compliance standards
Work closely with the billing team and third‑party billing partners to resolve coding and claim issues
Assist with claim corrections, denials management, and coding audits
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of medical coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements
Support coordination across multiple entities within the organization
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation when needed
Qualifications AAPC or AHIMA certification preferred (CPC, CCS, CCS‑P, or similar)
Strong experience in medical coding and billing
Experience coding physician services, outpatient procedures, or wound care preferred
Solid understanding of ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Knowledge of medical billing processes, claim submission, and reimbursement
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree not required with equivalent professional experience.
Senior‑level experience preferred.
