Currently, Cultivate Learning is involved in the Washington State Quality Recognition and Improvement System (QRIS) standards initiative, Early Achievers. Cultivate Learning is an essential part of Washington State’s Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge initiative to give childcare providers the support and skills they need in order to help children develop the skills they need to be successful in school. **About this Opportunity****Cultivate Learning has an outstanding opportunity for multiple hourly Education Verification Coder's to join their team.** This position will support the verification of degrees and teacher qualifications for Washington’s early learning system. They will have the challenge of coding data and verifying provided documentation as efficiently and objectively as possible and acting as a liaison between the individual clients and the project team. The selected individual will be expected to participate in the development of designs and revisions to the education verification processes, including Community Liaison work and are responsible for composing and editing technical reports, publications, and presentations. **Key Responsibilities**In support of this effort, the Hourly Education Verification Coder duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:\* Demonstrate understanding of the rationale behind QRIS (Quality Recognition Improvement System) standards and local and state requirements for early care and education programs serving young children. • Assess and articulate transfer courses, evaluating transfer credits as required for the major. • Review both US and international transcripts to determine the validity of course work and credit that can be applied. • Assist with the verification of the accreditation status of transfer institutions to ensure the validity of coursework. • Evaluate credit for prior learning • Assign credit values to transfer courses ensuring that students are awarded the correct number of credits for coursework. • Maintain accurate records of transcript evaluations and related data • Provide clear and concise explanations of transcript or course evaluation to teams and students. • Meet established reliability rates on all assigned measures for education verification and quality recognition (for example Program Profile, Video Highlights, Records Review). • Informing, adapting, and following Cultivate Learning education verification protocols and procedures which include tailoring education verification to individual client needs. • Present at and attend trainings and meetings with Cultivate Learning central staff and regional Quality Recognition team. • All verification activities, whether in the field or on site at Cultivate Learning, will be conducted in a reliable, valid and confidential manner per human subjects, IRB and existing Cultivate Learning expectations. • Complete education verification review/coding for each certificate and/or transcript and submit the data according to project procedures and protocols. • Report questions about education verification to Education Verification Manager. • Maintain appropriate decorum and demeanor when interacting with clients. • Follow Cultivate Learning values in your daily work. • Other duties as dictated by the evolving needs of the project. Key Skills:* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Knowledge of US and international educational systems* Familiarity with accreditation agencies and standards* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences* Proficiency with personal computing environment, Microsoft Office Suite, database systems, and online tools.* Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential student records **Required Qualifications**To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications listed below.
