Job Description

Responsibilities Performs all functions essential in the billing of providers and ancillary services. Organizes workflow and communication with the clinics and providers for accurate billing information. Effectively communicates within the organization and with the public consistent with the clinic philosophy, vision and mission. Appropriately uses facility communication, information systems and equipment. Job Specific Competencies Performs all functions essential in the billing of providers and ancillary services. Minimum Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED Associate degree preferred Experience Minimum two years in a Physician Coding environment Certification / License Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) for E&M Specialties and Family Medicine Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Competency in medical terminology as demonstrated by either formal training or experience Must be able to assess self-learning needs and participate in educational programs as appropriate Computer literate Knowledge and experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding Work Environment Works in heated and air-conditioned area consistent with a normal office environment.
