Senior Medical Coder

Job Title

IconicCare is a leader in providing post-acute ancillary services. We partner with many Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Facilities across multiple states. We embed physiatrists (PM&R) into the facilities to manage both acute recovery and complex, chronic pain. Our mission is to empower our providers by ensuring their clinical expertise is translated into a record that accurately 'paints the picture' of every patient's journey.

Location: Lehi, UT (on-site) Reports To: RCM Director

The Role

We are seeking a subject matter expert who thrives on the 'nitty-gritty' of high-volume coding but has the vision and desire to move beyond the production line. This is a cornerstone hire to the RCM Team for an experienced, tenacious, productive coder who wants to help build the processes and team that will support our growth. This is a collaborative, builder-state role requiring a full-time presence in our Lehi, UT office

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume, accurate coding for a diverse mix of PM&R encounters
• Design the SOPs, audit workflows, and logic that will allow our coding department to scale effectively
• Consult directly with physiatrists to refine documentation, ensuring it captures the true medical necessity of care
• Serve as an internal expert for revenue integrity, assessing reimbursement and denial trends

Qualifications

One or more of the following credentials required: CPC, CCS, RHIT

3+ years of experience in coding (candidates with fewer years will be considered if they demonstrate specialization in E/M coding)

Ability to maintain high personal output while simultaneously thinking about team growth and process improvement

Compensation & Growth

Salary: $60-80k annual salary (commensurate with experience)
