Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Surgery Coder based in Glen Rock, NJ. The Surgery Coder will be responsible for accurately analyzing and coding surgical procedures and other relevant medical information, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, assigning appropriate codes, maintaining accurate health information records, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Medical Coding and a strong grasp of industry-standard coding systems
Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management practices
Possession of RHIT certification or relevant credentials, or equivalent experience
Previous experience in coding, particularly related to surgical procedures, is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in coding and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals in a team-oriented environment
Experience with compliance and regulatory guidelines is a plus
