Internal Compliance Auditor

Job Description

The Internal Compliance Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products, services, and processes meet client contracts, SGI quality standards, and ISO specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Production Processes:

  • Conduct inspections of products, orders, projects, and services to verify compliance with job specifications, the company’s quality assurance system, and ISO standards.
  • Evaluate job setups to ensure item integrity.
  • Lead audits on all HIPAA and high-risk jobs, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.

Audit Fulfillment Activities & Inventory:

  • Inspect products throughout the production cycle and order fulfillment process.
  • Maintain physical inventory counts for specific product lines and ensure location integrity in relation to the master database.
  • Execute designated inventory control tasks as assigned.

General Warehouse Duties:

  • Conduct inspections of SGI's internal fire safety equipment, eye-wash stations, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency lighting systems.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving issues identified during cycle counts and traceability audits.
  • Perform aisle audits, FDA item audits, sensitive item audits, general warehouse integrity audits, and weekly temperature monitoring.
  • Lead audits for receipt verification, destruction orders, and item replenishment tasks.
  • Audit forklift maintenance and integrity sign-out sheets.

Manage Non-conforming Product Issues:

  • Oversee and control non-conforming product records (NCPR) for both physical materials and data using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ensure the proper disposal of HIPAA-sensitive information and hazardous materials following all local and federal regulations.

Quality Management System (QMS) Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the maintenance and protection of all SGI quality documents and records.
  • Conduct internal ISO audits across all SGI departments.
  • Perform document control verifications.
  • Review, create, and distribute work instructions as necessary.
  • Assist in quality training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in production, service industry, quality, and ISO/CFR programs.
  • Availability to work from 8 AM to 5 PM EST.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, addition, subtraction, and some statistical analysis.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks essential for the role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AS400 and Microsoft Access.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners.
  • Forklift operation experience (e.g., order picker, walkie-rider, reach trucks).

Compensation: $20-22 hourly wage.
