We are currently in search of a talented Construction Supervisor to be a part of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in construction, with a focus on electrical work, structural steelwork, and blueprint reading.
As a Construction Supervisor at KHI, you will be integral to our operations. You will lead your team and manage small renovation groups, guaranteeing that project deadlines are consistently met. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from installing critical equipment like surgical booms, lights, and computer systems to executing comprehensive renovations and demolitions of Operating Rooms. Strong planning, effective communication, and meticulous execution are vital for achieving both consistency and excellence in our projects.
Your leadership will play a pivotal role in cultivating a collaborative team environment while overseeing crew members, subcontractors, material deliveries, and other site activities. Building a trustworthy relationship with clients is key for securing repeat business and ensuring successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating extensive experience and knowledge in the construction sector.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings with accuracy.
- Understanding relevant building codes pertaining to electrical systems, fire suppression, medical gas, and more.
- Preparing and planning effectively to enhance productivity during project execution.
- Communicating project details proactively with team members and clients.
- Managing project changes in line with KHI's primary objectives: client satisfaction, efficiency, and safety.
- Providing regular updates to clients through various communication methods.
- Conducting debrief sessions with the crew, management, and clients to continuously enhance processes.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Preferred three years of experience in a leadership role.
- Willingness to travel frequently, 80% or more of the time.
- Able to work alongside team members during equipment installations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to read plans, interpret instructions, and stay within project scopes.
- Skill in assessing scope modifications and appropriately requesting change orders.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines.
- Physical capability to crouch, kneel, and operate in confined spaces.
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds safely.
Computer Proficiency:
- Experience with Google Drive and Google Calendar.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Familiarity with email communication and internet research.
Compensation:
- Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $85,000, based on experience.
