Inpatient coder with a minimum of 3 years of experience coding for an acute care teaching and trauma level 2 facility. Must be an experienced well rounded coder with a wide range of specialties including but not limited to; Critical Care, Cardio, Vascular, OB/GYN, Ortho Gen Med/Surg, Rehab, Oncology, Pediatrics. Must have experience with EPIC and 3M/Solventum systems. Must have a RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential with the appropriate experience listed above. Schedule will be Monday - Friday, helping client with initial volume to start the week would be a plus. The amount of hours needed are provided the Friday before the week starts, ranging from 10-30 mainly but possibly more or less. The working hours are flexible within reason and the initial training is expected to take place between 8am - 4pm CST for a two hours once access is complete, then additional training provided if needed.
3+ years coding experience with acute care teaching and trauma level 2 facilities
Experience coding medical and surgical cases for cardiac, vascular, interventional radiology, critical care, oncology, orthopedics, psyche/behavioral medicines, OB/GYN, neonatal, pediatrics, general medicine and general surgery.
RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential
Experience with EPIC and 3M/Solventum
Able to code 2.5 CPH
Able to maintain a minimum of 95% accuracy
Able to be flexible based off volume needs. Schedule is flexible within reason after initial training.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self-disciplined and self-motivated enough to be successful working in a remote environment with minimum supervision
