Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits of coded medical charts in accordance with specified client guidelines, as directed by the quality supervisor.
  • Skillfully navigate and implement diverse client protocols.
  • Maintain a quality average of at least 95% at the diagnosis level during audits.
  • Manage rebuttals from coders or auditors regarding your evaluations effectively.
  • Participate in weekly coding project review meetings to enhance overall performance.
  • Complete additional assignments as requested by the quality supervisor.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HCC coding.
  • At least 2 years of auditing experience focused on HCC.
  • Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding principles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AHIMA or AAPC certification (such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC) is necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment while ensuring high quality.
  • Proven track record of adhering to instructions, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a constantly evolving work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suitable for remote work, alongside excellent time management capabilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer hardware and software to enhance data processing and security.

The pay range for this role may vary based on skills, experience, and responsibilities. The estimated hourly pay for this position is between $29 and $33.

To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require after-offer health screenings and proof of vaccinations, such as flu, Tdap, and COVID-19. Exemption requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
