System One is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join the Accounts Receivable team of a well-established specialty healthcare clinic in Tulsa. This role plays a key part in supporting the organization's revenue cycle by ensuring accurate claim submission, follow-up, and collections.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative medical office environment.
Pay Rate: $18-25/hr. DOE
Primary Responsibilities
- Review patient records to ensure accurate coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
- Submit insurance claims electronically and via paper
- Follow up on unpaid claims and research denials
- File appeals and work directly with insurance carriers
- Communicate problem accounts and collaborate on resolution strategies
- Answer patient billing inquiries and assist with payment plan arrangements
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office setting
- Billing and collections experience preferred
- Experience with NextGen EMR preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance processes and revenue cycle operations
