Why you'll love this position: You will work collaboratively with the OPP team on the review and analysis of applications from schools seeking initial and renewal approval to offer postsecondary instruction in Missouri. This role evaluates the extent to which schools operate as represented through site visits, interviews, and document analysis. You will also have the opportunity to participate in initiatives that contribute to the department's strategic plan.

What you'll do:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodation after successful onboarding.
Work with minimal direction to research, review, and analyze applications for certification or exemption from state regulations regarding postsecondary education;

Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including federal and state regulators, institution presidents and owners, faculty, and students;

Conduct on-site visits on a regular basis to Missouri's certified schools and conduct interviews with administrators, faculty, staff, and students;

Represent the department and/or serve as liaison for your assigned area of responsibility;

Perform other related work as assigned.

Exhibit critical thinking, problem solving, and organization;

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;• Able to synthesize information concisely;

Meet deadlines and demonstrate regular, reliable attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university, or an accredited associate degree with at least two years experience in the private career school sector;

Preferred: Experience in state or federal regulatory oversight; familiarity with postsecondary education.
