Our growing Neurology practice in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Patient Account Representative to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated professional with a strong background in medical billing and accounts receivable management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter patient demographics, insurance information, charges, and payments into EPIC
- Generate and submit insurance claims
- Manage accounts receivable aging and days outstanding for assigned accounts
- Actively participate in collections processes
- Research, resolve, and appeal claim denials, coordinate claim re-submissions
- Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical billing, preferably in a specialty practice
- Proficiency with EPIC strongly preferred
- Highly focused, honest, motivated, and energetic
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Team-oriented, respectful, and efficient
- Ability to pass a complete background check
