Primary Responsibilities Codes Inpatient Facility medical records using coding classifications to ensure data integrity and proper assignments
Work daily with MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, Physician Queries, and ICD-10 PCS coding
Analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and send provider feedback to improve the quality of documentation
Collects and abstracts data elements
Assist customers to address complex issues related to unbilled and incomplete records
Identify and suggest areas of improvement in high compliance risk coding areas and improve the quality of provider documentation to support code assignment and billing
All duties as assigned

Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CIC) to be maintained annually
3+ years of experience in Acute Care Inpatient medical coding (hospital, facility, etc.)
3+ years of experience with DRG coding, including complex procedures and cases in cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, orthopedics and neurology
3+ years of experience using ICD-10-PCS procedure coding

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. In addition to salary, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution are available where eligible. The hourly pay range for this role is $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
