Medical Billing/Coding Manager

Job Description

Northeast Internal Medicine is a fast-paced Internal Medicine Office looking for an experienced, motivated, and reliable Medical Billing Coding Manager to join our team.

Office locations in Kendallville and Lagrange, Indiana.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the billing department to ensure accurate and timely claim submission.

  • Manage the full revenue cycle including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up.

  • Monitor aging reports and work with staff to resolve outstanding claims and reduce accounts receivable.

  • Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, government regulations, and company policies.

  • Train, supervise, and evaluate billing staff to maintain productivity and accuracy.

  • Identify billing issues, implement corrective actions, and improve workflow processes.

  • Work closely with providers, administration, and front office staff to resolve billing discrepancies.

  • Review denial reports and coordinate appeals or corrections to maximize reimbursement.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements, coding guidelines, and billing regulations.

  • Prepare reports on billing performance, collections, and revenue trends for leadership.

  • Assist with credentialing coordination and payer enrollment as needed.

  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and payment delays.

Requirements:

· Medical Billing experience required, with knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT.

· Ability to Multitask through many responsibilities in a day.

· The individual must have good phone and people skills.

· Computer and internet skills are required.

· Knowledge of Epic is helpful but not a must.

· Medical Coding experience required

Wage negotiable depending on experience
