About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable full stack developer, nicknamed Combat Coder, who thrives in challenging, disconnected, and resource-limited environments. You will develop and integrate mission-critical systems using Python, Apache NiFi, and other modern tools, often without consistent connectivity. Primary Responsibilities:
- Integrate systems and data flows utilizing Python, NiFi, and other integration frameworks.
- Design resilient solutions operational in austere, bandwidth-limited, or air-gapped conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly prototype and deliver mission-critical capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize code and workflows in real time, often using limited information.
- Document and enhance solutions for long-term maintainability in the field.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with 10+ years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain said clearance during employment with Leidos.
- Demonstrated full stack development expertise.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with Apache NiFi or similar data flow/integration tools.
- Ability to work effectively in disconnected or degraded network settings, ensuring operational capabilities without cloud dependencies.
- Solid grasp of APIs, data pipelines, and system integration methodologies.
- Creative problem solver who excels at tackling complex, ambiguous challenges.
- Self-starter capable of operating independently and delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with source control systems like Gitlab and others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with JEMA and ARC GIS.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices for air-gapped environments.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and cyber-resilient architectures.
- Background in mission-critical, defense, or field operations.
