Job Summary: The outpatient coder I is responsible for reviewing and accurately coding medical records for outpatient services. This entry-level position involves applying appropriate codes from ICD-10-CM, CPT and/or HCPCS, codes to patient records to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
Education Description: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Degree or certificate in an AHIMA or AAPC recognized coding program is preferred.
Licensure Description: RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA/CCS-P/COC/CPC/CIC or CPC-A certification is required, or is eligible and must obtain credential within one year of hire.

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $22.72 - $32.49. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
