Position Overview:

Bliss Speech and Hearing Services is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. Regularly scheduled hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities to include:

• Payment posting, including both patient and insurance payments.
• Medical billing and collection, including billing electronic and paper claims.
• Follow up on insurance claims.
• Patient insurance eligibility and verification.
• Initiating and tracking insurance authorizations and PCP referrals.
• Answering patient calls regarding billing inquiries.
• Documenting in patients' accounts / electronic medical records any follow ups completed or actions taken.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a medical role completing responsibilities listed above.
• Organized and able to multi-task.
• Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent typing skills and ability to prepare professional business correspondence.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
