Job Summary
Responsible for accurately interpreting patient records to learn to assign ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedural codes patient records under the direction of the Coding Supervisor.

- Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills
- Requires proficiency in working with a PC; the Internet; and MS Windows
- Ability to gather and interpret clinical data
- Ability to establish/maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and providers
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all staff; managers; and physicians
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
