This position must integrate company values into daily practice./ppThis position is full time and will work day shifts./ppJob Duties include, but are not limited to:/pulliAssigns codes using the International Classification of Disease-10th Revision-Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) ensuring that the codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with government and insurance regulations while maintaining a 95% threshold for coding accuracy./liliReceives and reviews patient charts and documents for accuracy. Identifies discrepancies and follows up with the provider on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear./liliQueries physician for clarification and diagnostic details as needed for accuracy and specificity in coding./liliRemains up-to-date and knowledgeable of coding and diagnostic procedures and remains current on federal legislative changes./liliComplies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), to protect patient confidentiality/li/ulpRequirements for consideration:/pulli3 years medical coding experience OR Coding certification (AHIMA or AAPC) required./liliRehabilitation coding experience preferred./liliAssociates degree in related field preferred./li/ulpWe value our employees skills, talents and input.
