Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Billing and Coding Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The Medical Billing & Coding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the medical billing and coding operations of the organization, managing a team of medical billers and coders, ensuring accurate and timely submission of insurance claims, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage a team of medical billing and coding specialists Oversee the medical billing and coding processes, including claim submission, follow‑up, and appeals Ensure accurate and timely coding of medical procedures and diagnoses Monitor and analyze the performance of the billing and coding team, identifying areas for improvement Serve as a subject matter expert on medical billing and coding policies, regulations, and best practices Collaborate with other departments, such as clinical and administrative, to ensure seamless operations Develop and implement training programs for the billing and coding team Stay up-to-date with changes in the healthcare industry, including coding updates and payer requirements Maintain and improve the organization’s medical billing and coding systems and processes Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and coding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Comprehensive knowledge of medical coding, billing, and reimbursement practices Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills Proficient in using medical billing and coding software and electronic health records systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
