HIM Coder II is responsible for coding a variety of services. Those services can include hospital outpatient, surgical services, hospital and clinic professional services as well as procedures and any ancillary services. The coder will be responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10 codes, CPT and HCPCS codes in accordance with Monument Health guidelines, Official coding guidelines and payor standards.

Required: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of Coding Experience Certifications - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA); Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice (CPC-A) - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
Physical Requirements: Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
