Office Administrator / Medical Biller

JOB DESCRIPTION * Primary front office person in small outpatient medical office; some of the duties include: * Answer phones * Schedule patients * Patient intake/checkout * Communicate with physician's offices regarding necessary prescriptions and documentation * Work alongside medical team to prepare/oversee documentation for compliance and medical billing * Review clinical notes * Bill insurance * Collect and post insurance and patient payments * Full time M-F 8:30am - 5pm * Patients typically scheduled at East Lansing location 1 day/week; other days will be spent on administrative duties in East Lansing office or assisting in other offices as needed (Flint, Saginaw, Brighton) LEARN ABOUT US * Small, patient-centered environment * A team that works every day to improve the lives of others through providing high quality prosthetic care to help amputees regain their abilities and independence * Invests a lot of time and resources into educating and advocating for the amputee, adaptive, and disability communities locally, nationally, and internationally * About Bremer Prosthetics: REQUIREMENTS * Strong verbal and written communication skills to directly interface with patients, prosthetists, other medical offices * Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a close team, and positive attitude in the workplace * Ability to learn and utilize medical software * Preference to those with experience in the prosthetics field, medical billing, accounts receivable/payable, and/or health insurance * Willing to train for particular aspects of the job * High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree strongly preferred * Reliable transportation required: primarily based in outpatient office in East Lansing, but requires 1+ day / week in Flint, Saginaw, Frankenmuth, or Brighton - mileage paid Company Description We provide patient centered prosthetic care in Mid-Michigan.
