What you will do:
 

We are looking for a Compliance Policy & Privacy Specialist like you who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the day-to-day functions will look like:

  • Organizes and maintains the database for all enterprise policies and desktop procedures.
  • Works with multiple departments to review and revise all enterprise policies and desktop procedures annually.
  • Assists in the foundational elements of the Compliance Program to ensure greater organizational competence and meet contract deliverables and departmental/organizational goals through short-term, long-term and on-going projects.
  • Assists in ensuring completion of contract and CMS deliverables and as requested, assist in EQRO audits with multiple departments.
  • Assists in the development, enhancement, and growth of the regulatory compliance program.
  • Assists in multiple compliance and regulatory related projects; coordinating cross-functional workgroups to implement organizational compliance priorities.
  • Anticipates, identifies and resolves project issues.
  • Assists in the report of violations or potential violations, in conjunction with the Manager of Compliance and Privacy to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required.
  • Conducts research, helps prepare training and education materials, and aids in compliance investigations and inquiries.
  • Assists and supports the Manager of Compliance and Privacy in internal investigations.

What you will bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered.

 

Experience: Minimum of three years compliance/regulatory healthcare experience. Familiarity with operational, financial, and quality assurance a must. Experience in oversight and coordination of regulatory/accreditation readiness program, audit preparation, coordination and response/follow-up, and HIPAA Privacy and Security.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Solid knowledge of compliance, internal control systems and investigation standards, with public sector healthcare compliance program experience preferred. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects throughout project lifecycle with ability to think strategically about complex issues, develop goals and recommendations. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values. Position requires excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff. Ability to translate legal, regulatory, compliance and operational requirements into understandable policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to facilitate group interactions. Must have excellent organization, attention to detail, technical, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based document posting required. May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.

 

Licenses/Certifications:  Certified in healthcare compliance or privacy preferred.  A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:
 

The compensation for this position is $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually. The pay rate/salary is commensurate with experience.

Where you will work:
 

This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’ 
 

We are not able to support out of state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.
