Work From Home Opportunity for Certified Compliance Director

This job is responsible to lead compliance projects for clients to ensure a compliance strategy, which reinforces strong compliance responsibilities, processes, and procedures. Work across the client organization to assess, develop or implement a client compliance program, employee training, risk assessments, and reporting and measure the effectiveness of the program and to refine as necessary. Service as the primary client compliance contact. 

 Responsibilities Related to Client Engagement as Necessary:

  • Develop the compliance strategy for the organization to ensure there is a strong compliance culture, processes, and procedures that support this culture.
  • Oversee and monitor the compliance program throughout the organization (all clinics, surgery center, and corporate locations) including policy development, education, monitoring processes, performance dashboards, audits, exclusions, investigations and corrective actions, as warranted. Periodically assess the effectiveness of these programs and related activities.
  • Work across the organization to design, implement, monitor, and revise compliance programs which include HIPAA and OSHA compliance, including development of content for initial and annual training.
  • Independently prepares regular reports (no less frequently than annually), and directly presents those reports to the Executive team, Executive Committee, Governance Board and all subscribing health care entities, and other audiences as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify compliance risk areas and develop an action plan to address any identified issues.
  • Compliance Calendar – responsible for the creation and approval of the annual compliance calendar for all entities; monitors and oversees the execution of that calendar, and reports on progress, obstacles and any identified issues including recommended corrective action to executive and physician leadership.
  • Conduct and oversee security risk assessments for clients.
  • Manage the incident reporting process to address reported violations. Conduct investigation or assign respective department to conduct the investigation into reported incident. Coordinate the process to ensure appropriate action is taken to address reported incidents. Reports, as necessary, to appropriate government departments or agencies.
  • Manage and report on the exclusion checking process.
  • Establish training programs that convey the compliance program to all levels of the organization, periodically refresh employee’s knowledge of the programs, and focus on compliance and privacy risks related to specific functional areas and/or specific populations
  • Establish compliance responsibilities by function across the organization to ensure clarity of responsibilities.
  • Develop and deploy effective communication throughout the organization to maintain high employee awareness of the compliance program including how to raise and address concerns
  • Manages and participates in the annual compliance work plan including an audit program, which includes reviewing medical records, coding accuracy, documentation, receiving and investigating reports of non-compliance, and maintaining appropriate records.
  • Manage client compliance research initiatives.
  • Development of client specialty specific compliance manuals as needed.
  • Any other corporate or client related projects assigned.
