Role Summary:

The Sr. Manager of Charge Accuracy is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the charge capture strategy, operations, and client outcomes across multiple healthcare systems utilizing our proprietary charge capture solutions. This role ensures the successful implementation, performance optimization, and value realization of our services, working closely with internal stakeholders and client executives to drive charge accuracy, revenue enhancement, and compliance.

 

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute enterprise-level charge capture strategies aligned with client goals and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in charge capture, billing compliance, and revenue integrity across all service lines.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to refine tools, workflows, and automation features based on client feedback and industry best practices.

Client Engagement

  • Act as a senior point of contact for client executives regarding charge capture initiatives, escalations, and performance.
  • Lead regular performance reviews with client stakeholders, providing insights and analytics to demonstrate value and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Customize and oversee implementation plans, training, and change management tailored to each client’s operational and clinical environment.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage and mentor a team of charge capture analysts, consultants, and implementation specialists.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor charge capture accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Oversee audits and risk assessments to identify charge leakage, missed revenue, and documentation gaps.

Compliance & Industry Expertise

  • Stay abreast of CMS guidelines, payer policies, and billing regulations to ensure solution alignment and client education.
  • Guide internal and external stakeholders through audit preparedness and corrective action planning.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of hospital based experience in charge capture, revenue cycle including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of or healthcare consulting, or charge capture client delivery experience
  • Proven expertise in hospital and professional billing, EHR/EMR workflows, and revenue integrity.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to lead executive discussions.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related).
  • Certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CHRI.
  • Experience working in a healthcare technology or vendor environment.
  • Experience with successful implementation of AI allowing for product scaling.
