We are seeking an in house (not remote) skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder in the Morristown, NJ area with extensive experience in hospital, outpatient, and procedure billing. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of medical billing processes, coding, and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and submit claims for hospital, outpatient, and procedure services.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to expedite billing and payments.
- Stay updated on coding changes and billing policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience in medical billing, with specific expertise in hospital, outpatient, and procedure billing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.
- Familiarity with billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems , specifically Epic
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple billing tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
