Job Title: Remote Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Cardiology Coder (CCC)
Part-Time: 5-10 hours per week (depending on need)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with a Certified Cardiology Coder (CCC) certification to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a remote position for a professional with exceptional cardiology coding knowledge and at least 4 years of experience. You will play a key role in helping develop medical billing and coding software by providing your expertise in outpatient and inpatient cardiology coding, hospital procedures, and billing processes. No software development experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Code medical notes for outpatient and inpatient cardiology services.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding to code office and hospital visits accurately.
- Provide expert cardiology coding insights for the development and improvement of medical billing and coding software.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in cardiology coding for hospital procedures and cardiology-specific services.
- Use your medical billing expertise to inform software functionality related to claims submissions, denials management, payment processing, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the software development team to ensure the product meets industry standards for medical billing and coding.
- Communicate effectively with team members to provide feedback and suggestions for enhancing software usability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) and Certified Cardiology Coder (CCC®).
- Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC®) is a plus but not mandatory.
- At least 4 years of experience in cardiology coding, covering both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing practices, including the process of claims, denials, and payments.
- Experience in coding procedures and tests such as stress tests, EKGs, catheterizations, stents, and peripheral interventions.
- Proficiency with word processing, email communication, and other remote work tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a remote team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of coding experience with a focus on cardiology.
- Ability to work 5-10 hours a week remotely, depending on workload.
- Experience with technology, including word processing and email tools.
- Medical billing knowledge related to claims, payments, and denials to inform the software design.
- Ability to self-manage and work autonomously in a remote environment.
- No software development experience required.
