We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder and Biller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately entering patient information into our billing system, submitting claims to insurance companies, and following up on unpaid claims.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, be able to work independently, be ethical, and have a strong understanding of medical billing regulations and procedures. Candidate will have considerable experience, with coding and billing in primary care, and in urgent care.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifications: Coding experience and Coding certification.
  • Qualifications: Primary care experience. Urgent care experience.
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years experience as a coder and biller.
  • Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and other payers. Communicate with insurance companies as needed.
  • Review and analyze patient charts for appropriateness of documentation concerning billing.
  • Resolve discrepancies in billing information.
  • Communicate with patients to ensure accurate billing information is obtained.
  • Constantly Engage with providers, and ensure accurate information is being entered in the EMR.
  • Keep up-to-date on changes in the healthcare industry that may affect billing procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22 - $25 per hour based on skills and experience
