Position Summary:

The Senior Medical Biller is a key contributor responsible for overseeing efficient claim processing, reimbursement optimization, and denial management. The position requires a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of medical coding, reimbursement policies, and healthcare regulations. Strong capabilities in resolving denials, establishing timely billing policies, and leveraging technology for automated processes are essential. The Senior Medical Biller will play a crucial role in client satisfaction through the demonstration of value in efficient billing processes and effective management.

Responsibilities:

●    Ensuring efficient processing of claims to accelerate reimbursement timelines.
●    Implement strategies for thorough claim review to minimize rejections before submission.
●    Address and resolve claim denials, including appeals when necessary, to maximize reimbursement.
●    Oversee web-based platform availability for continuous access to billing information.
●    Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards for data security and privacy.
●    Manage the online scheduler for efficient appointment scheduling.
●    Develop and monitor real-time reporting systems for timely insights into billing performance.
●    Oversee the entire billing cycle, from claim scrubbing to accounts receivable follow-up.
●    Demonstrate value through efficient processes to enhance client satisfaction.
●    Other duties as assigned 

Capabilities:
●    In-depth knowledge of claim processes, reimbursement, and denials management.
●    Skilled in resolving denials, rejections, and discrepancies, maximizing reimbursement through appeals.
●    Able to establish and maintain timely billing policies, procedures, and workflows.
●    Capable of conducting regular audits for compliance with billing regulations.
●    Skillful in assessing medical coverage policies for optimal reimbursement strategies.
●    Ability to develop, monitor, and report on billing-specific KPIs.
●    Proficient in leveraging technology for automated billing processes and efficiency improvements.
●    Strong multitasking and time management skills.
●    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
●    Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
●    In-depth knowledge of medical coding, reimbursement policies, and healthcare regulations.

Education & Experience:
●    4-6 years of medical billing experience required.
●    An associate degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED is required. 
●    Certifications in medical billing and coding, such as Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS), are preferred.
●    Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. 
●    Thorough knowledge of compliance with state and federal laws, including HIPAA, is required.
