Pro Fee & Pro Clinic Medical Coders

Job Description

HCCS currently has multiple full-time and part-time openings for experienced and certified Pro Fee and Pro Clinic/Outpatient Coders. The ideal candidate will need to have three plus years of current medical coding experience in coding Pro Fee/Clinic charts, along with a current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (CCA and CPC-A credentials are not accepted).  Full-time candidates will be expected to work 40 hours per week, M-F. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC  

  • CCA and CPC-A not accepted 

  • Three or more years of coding experience in Pro Fee IP/OBS/SDS and/or Clinic/Outpatient Coding 

  • Three or more years of E/M Leveling experience 

  • Recent experience in production coding within the past six months 

  • Proficiency in coding using the 2023 coding guidelines and MDM 

  

Specialty Areas (one or more of the following are required): 

  • Family & Internal Medicine

  • Pediatrics

  • Rural Health Clinic

  • Wound Care and Gastroenterology 

  • Multi-Specialty
