Job Description

Innovative Claims Strategies LLC is a Piscataway NJ based national medical cost containment service provider to the Workers' Compensation, Auto, Liability, Disability and Group Health markets has positions available for experienced Medical Bill Review Processors with a strong background in reviewing and auditing medical bills and records tied to Third Party Demand Package Reviews.   

We are currently looking for experienced professionals to join our staff initially as an Independent Contractor to support a 90 Day Pilot Program with a large auto carrier and their Third-Party Demand Package needs.  If the Pilot Program proves successful and is implemented nationally, the opportunity for full time or part time employment will become available, if desired.  This position will be conducted from a home-based office with all necessary hardware and software supplied by ICS.

ICS offers Third Party Demand Package Review management solutions for attorneys, employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Our Tier 1 solutions consist of a Medical Bill Review & Audit of the medical bills and supporting medical records designed to ensure all bills are processed in accordance with applicable jurisdictional and regulatory laws as well as accurate fee repricing and correct coding coverage.  Additionally, our Tier I service enhances our client’s ability and effectiveness in understanding the medical specials presented, and in negotiating a fair and equitable settlement of the claim.

Candidates must possess excellent data entry keying skills to ensure medical bills will be priced correctly and in accordance with jurisdictional requirements, have meticulous attention to detail, have the experience to ensure the supporting medical documentation, as applicable, supports the services being billed, and when submitted billing does not contain valid CPT/ NDC/HCPCS codes, where possible, given the provided documentation and/or service description, the candidate has the experience and coding knowledge to assign the appropriate code(s).

Candidates must have excellent written communications skills, sharp customer service skills and be able to work independently.  Having a CPC credential is highly desirable but not required if the candidate has the relevant experience.  Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding is required.   Knowledge of computer software application is also highly desirable.
