Senior Professional Fee Coder-Hybrid

HYBRID: This is a hybrid position and must be located within 100 miles of any of the Mayo Clinic campuses for on-site expectations based on business needs. The Senior Professional Fee Coder is responsible for working collaboratively to support department operations as well as periodically interacts with various team members such as physicians and other hospital administration. Coordinates with others as needed to ensure comprehensive and timely completion of professional coding processes. This position will mentor, instruct and/or train other Professional Fee Coders in compliant coding standards. The Senior Professional Fee Coder reviews and interprets medical record documentation to include, but not limited to, medical diagnostic information for various medical and surgical subspecialties and assigns the appropriate professional fee codes. Over half of the Senior Professional Fee Coder assigned time will be focused on production coding of complex accounts assigning the appropriate coding as outlined below. The remainder of time will be focused on departmental education and training of Professional Fee Coders, coding quality as needed, and other duties required to support Professional Fee Coding. #J-18808-Ljbffr
