Med-Scribe, Inc. is recruiting for a full-time, temp-to-hire Medical Biller in Newark, NY. You’ll process claims, post payments and help resolve outstanding balances for a nonprofit healthcare organization. If you have experience in medical billing, accounts receivable or a combination of both, we’d like to hear from you.
Schedule and benefits Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Office-based in Newark, NY
$21/hour
Benefits package includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, a Health Savings Account, paid time off and paid holidays
What you will do Process medical claims and resolve clearinghouse rejections and denials
Post charges and payments, monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Work with insurance companies to resolve disputed claims and processing issues
Communicate with clients about billing and payments
Maintain tracking spreadsheets and prepare billing reports
Skills and experience At least two years of accounts receivable experience; medical billing experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong follow-through, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
A valid NYS driver’s license
