Do you have a passion for accuracy, compliance, and supporting quality patient care? HealthFirst Bluegrass is looking for a Medical Coder to join our mission-driven team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community. 

In this role, you'll review clinical documentation and assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes to support compliant billing, appropriate reimbursement, and quality healthcare delivery. You'll work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure documentation integrity and coding excellence. 

• Review and code patient encounters for accurate claim submission
• Audit documentation for compliance and coding accuracy
• Collaborate with providers and staff to resolve coding questions and discrepancies
• Assist with claim edits, denials, and reimbursement-related coding issues
• Provide coding guidance and education to clinical teams
• Support quality improvement and revenue cycle initiative

What You'll Bring:

• CPC or CCS certification required
• At least 3 years of medical coding and/or billing experience
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities
• Experience with FQHC, primary care, behavioral health, or dental coding preferred [Past Chat...rief missi | Chat]
